I took Friday off and didn't go over on Tuesday but will go over and check up on Jerry on Wednesday. Rhonda is looking to find an assisted living place for her asap. She doesn't want visitors any more. This will probably be my last post.
I've enjoyed spending time with Jerry over the year and I wish her the very best!

I didn't go over to the house this week. I called first on Tuesday to see if she wanted me to go over. She hasn't wanted company lately and I wanted to check first to let it be her decision. She really wasn't in the mood to have company today. I called her a couple of times, she had OT, PT and other visitors throughout the day. I'm glad. I'm taking Friday off of work, so I will see her next week. 

This week was another hard week for Jerry. She didn't feel like going out today but we did go to the store to pick up a few things. Friday we just visited, she wasn't up for going out at all. We talked and it was good to just visit. I asked her what her favorite music was, she told me country and how she used to listen to it all the time but that "Bud didn't like to dance, he thought it was a waste of time." I had her get the radio and turn it on and I had her stand up to dance. ;) Music sometimes can help with not feeling good. I told her she could get up and dance when she was alone cause no one would see her. ;) I hope she has a good weekend and that her energy picks up. 

Tuesday of this week I wasn't feeling good so I didn't go over, and on Friday she wasn't feeling like going out. I called later that evening to check up on her. I'll see her on Tuesday. I hope she has a good weekend and is feeling a bit better.

On Friday Jerry was up and out the door to go to the Senior Center! After singing, she even wanted to have lunch there. She had lunch and visited with some of the other people, it was nice. 

Jerry was so appreciative of me coming over today (Tuesday). She was having a really hard day. She mentioned that the fan that Cork and Dalleen bought was too loud, she wanted to go and get another one. We went to Walmart to get her a new fan and she did a little shopping too. We stopped and got coffee to take home. We visited, drank coffee and talked. It helped her to talk about what was bothering her. When I was leaving she said "Now that you have been here, my day will be better." She's so sweet to say that.

Jerry didn't feel good today. I hope she has a good weekend and will feel better soon. I'll see her on Tuesday and hopefully she will feel good enough to go out. 

Jerry was feeling anxious today. I couldn't get her to go out so we just visited for a little bit. We talked about the weekend, and just some things that were on her mind. I got to meet Rhonda a little. It was good to put a face to the name. She is kind of sad that Mary (The lady that plays the piano at the Senior Center) isn't there anymore. She said she would 'probably' go out on Friday. We Will get there ;)

Today was a fun day at the Senior Center. It seemed to go pretty quick though. We found out that Mary (She's the piano player) isn't going to come on Friday's anymore :( She plays at her place twice a month and it's getting to be too much. Jerry chose a song to sing this time! She usually just lets others pick. I thought I had a video of it, but it didn't go through. :( We saw more people we hadn't seen in a long time. They were glad to have her back. :)  She looked nice today and was ready to go. We picked up a cup of coffee on the way home so she could rest before her Dr. appt. 

Today when I went over, we visited for a bit and talked about the weekend. Jerry showed me her new purse that she bought. She cleaned out the old one so now her new purse isn't so heavy! It was a nice day, not too hot so I suggested that we take Pepper for a walk. I thought maybe a picnic too but she had already eaten lunch. We sat over at the benches by the school and let Pepper run around while we talked. She told Terry she would be more active and that she spent the morning in the yard. She said she would be ready to go on Friday too :) yeah...after a bit we went for a small walk, then back home. We went through some coupons I brought over and put them in an envelope. She showed me a picture of her and Thelma. It was finally nice to put a face to the name. 

When I got to the house today, Jerry said she didn't want to go out. I said it wouldn't take long to get ready and was able to get her to the Senior Center today. It was a little hard for her to get out today, but once there she saw some people she hadn't seen in a while. We had coffee in the dining room. She was tired today but I’m glad that she did get out. I brought some bread crumbs and we went to the place on 1300 E “Where the kids used to go” but there were no ducks. We drove around and finally found some.

I missed the email that she didn't want to go to the Senior Center today. When I went over to the house, she looked really tired, I convinced her to at least go out and have a cup of coffee. We took the coffee over to a small park and just sat in the shade. It helped he a lot to get out and she was glad that she did. I forgot my camera to take pictures. It was a nice and relaxing day and we talked about...everything. She said  something like 'It makes it easier to go out when  you have a nice friend to take you.' She's sweet.:)

We just visited when I came over today. She was upset about a few things so we just talked about what was bothering her. I think it helped.

Jerry had her cast taken off on Wednesday. When I came over today, she didn't want to do anything or go anywhere, it just hurt too bad. I know the feeling :( I mentioned it would get her mind off of it if she went out. We ended up just visiting today. I went and got her a cup of coffee and came back and helped with her laundry. I hope she has a good weekend! 
(I think I fixed the blog to the colors she chose in the beginning. I still need to fix some things, but it's up! :) ) Enjoy reading! 

I called last night to remind her I was coming over today. She talked about how nice it was to see Cork and Dalleen and the rest of the family. She said it was nice on Saturday and it was "What Sheri would have wanted." It sounded like it was nice. Terry planted her flowers for her and "Had a heck of a time getting it in there."  I took her to Walmart to pick up a few things and when we got back home, Meals on Wheels left a note at the door. They didn't leave her meal so I called to have someone bring another one out. She did have some food in the fridge though. Jamie is going to take her to her Dr. appt. tomorrow and hopefully get her cast off. I reminded her I would be there on Friday to take her to the Senior Center. (Next Tuesday I'll come over a little later if I can so she doesn't miss Meals on Wheels.)

This was a sad weekend for Jerry, she lost her daughter on Sunday. She was upset and sad today. We talked for a little bit then went to Walmart and got a pretty flowering plant to plant in Sherri's name. We even got one of the flowers that Sherri made and put it with the plant. It's a Annual so it will come up every year...and it attracts humming birds :) Jerry said "Oh, I love humming birds." She said she sits outside sometimes in her chair, so she will be able to see it and watch it grow. She picked out a spot for the plant in the back of the house. It was too hot to plant today; Jerry said that Cork would plant it when he came in a couple days.

Today was my first day back with Jerry! I met the nurse outside as I was pulling up and she said Jerry was anxious but wanted to go to the Senior Center today. They didn't have a lot of people show up, but it was still good that she went. They usually perform at the end of the month, so we went over a little bit later to watch. Not a lot of people were there so they didn't perform this month. We still got to sing with them. Jerry will perform with them next month. Jerry decided to have lunch and coffee there too. The coffee "Was so good." We saw a few people that we knew from before. We went to Walmart after to pick up a few things and we lost each other! I went to pick something up and came back and she was gone. We found each other again...whew. I mentioned to her that maybe on Tuesday when I come over we could go for a ride in...I wasn't sure what to call Terry's car and asked Jerry, what is it? She laughed and said it's a... "Puddle jumper." It depends on how hot it is, we'll just play it by ear. 

I stopped by in the afternoon on Wednesday to ask Jerry about her lunch with Glenna. She said she had a good time and was glad that she went. She seemed happy that day.
Jerry is so sweet! It was my Birthday on Wednesday to and she called me to tell me Happy Birthday! She even told me she got me some flowers and a card! She said she picked out the color of the flowers because “I thought that color looked like you.” The Birthday card was the sweetest card ever! What a special day. Thanks Jerry! :)
She called me early Friday morning and said she didn’t want to go to the Senior Center; she was upset and she didn’t want to put me out. I told her she wasn’t putting me out and I was planning on taking her. We ended up going and I’m glad we did. It was fun singing, and at lunch we sat at a table with a couple of men and one other lady and visited. They were all telling jokes; it was funny and made us laugh. When we got back to her house, we went over the monthly calendar/schedule from the Senior Center. She seemed excited over some of the activities there are to do. (She put the calendar on her fridge if someone wants to check it out.) I circled the activities that she was interested in.

I talked to Jerry about the lunch she missed on Wednesday. She said she would try it again next week. When we got to the Senior Center, there was a man sitting outside on the bench and she said “Hi, you’re a cute fella.” Victor wasn’t there again today and everyone was saying “He must have a girlfriend.” Glenna came out to the Senior Center today too, she even stayed for lunch. They talked afterwards and Jerry will be going to lunch with her next Wednesday the 14th.

Jerry was supposed to go to lunch with Glenna today. They were running a little late to pick her up. I called her and let her know. Meals on Wheels came and she ate that instead. Glenna really wanted to take her out. Hopefully she will next week. I’m sorry she missed it; I know she was looking forward to it.

Jerry missed Glenna today at the Senior Center. Victor wasn’t there either; everyone seemed to be at a loss without him. There was a performance in the dining room so they sang songs for a bit then left early to watch a man sing on stage. Jerry said she really liked to have someone singing while she was eating. She thought it was ‘nice’. He was a good singer too. At one of the other tables there was a mechanical kitten; we went to look at it when Jerry was done eating. It was a white kitty named Snowball, I think. He moved his head, closed his eyes, meowed and raised his paw and rolled over to sleep. Jerry thought it was cute. One of the other ladies daughters bought it for her. After I dropped Jerry off I got a call, her friend Glenna wants to take her out to lunch next week. We set it up for Wednesday :) (She asked me to tell Mandi “I love her. She calls me every day.”)

Jerry was glad when Glenna showed up at the Senior Center today. They didn’t sing in the dining room like they normally do at the end of the month. They said it was “Payback.” No one came to support them from their Senior Center when they sang at Columbus Senior Center. That’s too bad. We sat at a table with 3 men at lunch. We walked out with one of them to see his dog. He had a really pretty dog; I think it was an Eskimo dog or something similar. He had pretty blue eyes. On the drive home Jerry told me she bought some eye shadow. When we got to the house I helped to show her how to put it on, she said she wasn’t sure (Good ole QVC.) Pepper misses her when she goes. She mentioned that Mandi called her yesterday and told her something like “We just love the pictures of you, don’t ever have her stop.” :)

Jerry got a haircut the other day. It looks nice :) The lady that cuts her hair also cuts the lady’s that plays the piano at the Senior Center (Mary). They got to sing a log of songs today and sounded really good. She ate lunch there today and visited for a bit. When I took her home, I visited with her and Pepper. Earlier When I asked her how her week was and what she had been doing she said she had been out working in the yard. It’s a nice big yard; I’m glad that and Pepper keep her busy.

Since Tuesday was such a big day, Jerry doesn’t want to go over to the Senior Center on Friday. I don’t blame her, it was a long day. I will be out of town anyway, so it worked out good.

Today was the big day! 10 of the Senior Centers in the valley all met at Columbus Senior Center. Each group sang 2 songs. I guess someone didn’t call to reserve our spot for the Mt. Olympus Senior Center group. They passed out programs and Mt. Olympus wasn’t on it! They ended up singing last. I got a video of their songs. I took lots of pictures too :) They had 2 men telling jokes between each group. There were really a lot of people there. It was a good turnout. They had cookies and punch after wards. Glenna, Jerry’s friend drove with us and when we dropped her off at her house we went in to look at her quilts that she has made. It was a pretty long day! They had a good day, but it was long and tiring for them, but fun to see the other groups. Jerry even went and bought a new white blouse :) (Everyone was supposed to either wear white or red shirts. One of the ladies (BB ) her husband made them all hats with flags in them to wear while they sang.)
